ROCK CLIMBING IN MAZAMA, WA
This is our backyard and training ground for the Mountain Bureau LLC. The Methow Valley, in Northeastern Washington, hosts a plethora of sport climbing opportunities near the village of Mazama WA and rural township Winthrop WA. The quaint mountain culture provides a hub of outdoor activity tucked in the rain shadow of the Cascades. The Methow attracts outdoor adventure archetypes all walks of life. If climbing is the focus of your trip, or simply an item on the agenda, this venue offers several options to satisfy the pallet of any climber. There are dozens of crags as well as several long 3/4-to-full day multi-pitch rock climbs on the famed Goat Wall. If you know about the area, you are most likely interested in hopping on some of the longest sport climbs in the country. Join us for a course, or a guided ascent, as we offer you several options in this attractive venue.

Sport Climbing (Beginner to Expert) -ROCK CLIMBING
Craggin’? Yes, cragging. A low commitment activity of simply enjoying climbing for climbing sake. It’s often a very relaxed approach getting out with your friends. You will learn some tricks and get to challenge yourself with the goal of improvement, while engaging the stone and your surroundings. Craggin’ is a great option for visiting families, avid climbers that wish to tour our classics, or be coached on harder projects.

Central Rib of the Goat-(IV 5.9+) - MULTI-PITCH ROCK-PLUS
The second longest sport climb in North America, standing 18-pitches tall and covering over +1,600ft of elevation gain. The route is on the bucket list of climbers all over the country. This mostly moderate climb, with focused cruxes to 5.9+/5.10a, keeps climbers entertained. With a minimal approach and requiring only two fists full of quick draws, it feels like “type-one” vacation climbing. If summiting this climb is the goal of the trip, or a tool to learn efficiency while covering loads of terrain, Fly Boys is your new hot ticket to full-day in foothills on the dry side of the Cascades.

GOAT WALL (V 5.6) -MULTI-PITCH ROCK
The Goat Wall venue hosts several long multi-pitch rock climbs taking you well above the valley floor. These fully equipped sport climbs allow you to have an efficient ascent over sound stone. There are grades for all skill levels. From 9-pitch 5.8 Prime Rib Route, to the local favorite 11-pitch 5.11 Restless Natives Route, there is something for any keen climber in the area.

Outdoor Rock Camp
A two-day course built from our modular single-day courses "Intro-to Outdoor Rock” and “Outdoor Rock- Beyond the Basics” course, for comprehensive instruction on how to rock climb in outdoor venues with a group.
Gym-To-Crag Camp
A two-day course built from our modular single-day courses "Intro-to Sport Climbing” and “Intro to Rock Rescue Course” ,for climbers who wish go out on their own and start climbing into more challenging grades and learn to lead.
Rock Rescue
A single day, or two-day, course built from our modular single-day courses “Intro to Rock Rescue” and “Multi-Pitch Rescue”, focusing on what every climber should know before leaving the ground.
MULTI-PITCH Sequencing
A two-day course built from our modular single-day courses "Multi-pitch Climbing and Efficiency” covers anchor-station-management, rope-management, re-racking, belay- transitions, and multipitch-repelling. A second day of “Multi-Pitch Rescue” is also a powerful combination to prepare you to become a competent partner. Another potential option is to book a day of guided MULTI-PITCH ROCK CLIMBING, applying skills learned during the previous day.
