Advanced Splitboard Touring & Movement Camp
overview
This course is an expansion on the skills learned in your Introduction to Splitboarding course and/or AIARE 1 avalanche course. Your AMGA trained splitboard guide will provide tour planning tools useful in backcountry snowboarding, as well as show you how to find good quality riding conditions while also maximizing safety. Additionally, this course is unique in that it will discuss skills unique to splitboarding movement to increase fun & efficiency in the backcountry, and will give you the opportunity to be in the leadership role, putting all these skills to use while in the field. This is also the perfect course to take to get you ready for The Mountain Bureau’s Backcountry Ski Pass or any of our Hut Ski trips.
